ICARE System
More than half of children injured as a result of being forgotten in a vehicle are a direct result of responsible adult (parent or driver) negligence. The Ituran ICARE system is your way to keep out of those unfortunate statistics.
Ituran ICARE is installed in school and similar buses ensures that checks are performed at the beginning and end of each trip to locate children, elderly people or people with disabilities, to identify suspicious objects and to test vehicle safety features.
- ICARE includes a switch, installed in the rear of the passenger compartment that requires the driver to access and operate it (by click, turn, or swipe of personal card) before the trip and at its conclusion.
- Failure to activate the ICARE system switch at the end of the first trip will cause the vehicle horn to sound and lights to flash, as well as the sending of automated alerts (or SMS) to the fleet manager through the Ituran fleet management system. The warning is received together with vehicle identification information and the vehicle’s exact location.
